South Nowra’s youngest homeowner

It seems that everyday the news is filled with stories about how the housing market in Australia is going down the drain, with Millennials left worrying about how they will ever afford a place of their own.

 

But in South Nowra, 21-year-old Marcus, an apprentice fitter and turner, has spent 60 hours a week at work since leaving school, and is just weeks away from receiving the keys to his own home.

And while the median house price in South Nowra is sitting at $482 thousand, Marcus has bought smart, with a house and land package in the Carrington Heights estate, where packages start from only $237 thousand
